Nonlinear saturations effects in non-Hermitian scattering systems

Abstract

The nonlinear scattering properties of a non-Hermitian dispersive system with saturable gain/loss are examined. It is shown that the non-reciprocal response of the nonlinear medium depends on gain/absorption coefficient and total thickness of the bilayer.
