Abstract

This Paper proposes a Chemo-mechanical-optical approach of sensing the Chromium (VI) metal ion. Transducing property of both FBG and hydrogels is utilized for sensing. Traces of Cr (VI) even in the orders of 10ppb can be sensed by the method.
