Bloch-surface-polariton based hybrid waveguide for low loss light propagation at the subwavelength scale

Abstract

A novel hybrid Bloch surface polariton waveguide by integrating a periodic multilayer structure with metallic nanowire is proposed and investigated. The results reveal a deep-subwavelength mode confinement with reasonable propagation distance.
