Abstract

We report high numerical aperture planar optics with unique properties using metasurfaces. Meta-axicons and immersion meta-lenses with numerical apertures up to 1.1 are demonstrated; they can generate wavelength-independent Bessel beams and diffraction-limited focal spots, respectively.
