Effect of Silver Nano-Protrusions on Field Enhancement in Tip-enhanced Raman Spectroscopy

Abstract

The field enhancement in a gap-mode tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (TERS) setup with hemispherical nano-protrusions on the substrate is studied numerically and is found to display a resonant behavior as a function of the protrusion radius.
