Abstract

Pulse-driving is employed in order to access a previously unachieved pump-to-soliton conversion efficiency of 40% in a MgF2 microresonator, and to generate a 2000-line, 28 GHz single-soliton based frequency comb in a Si3N4 photonic chip-based microresonator.
