Highly Efficient Nonlinear Integrated Photonics in Ultracompact Periodically-Poled Lithium Niobate on Silicon

Abstract

We present second-harmonic generation, pumped in the telecom wavelengths, with strong nonlinear conversion efficiencies up to 1230 %W−1cm−2 using ultracompact periodically-poled thin-film lithium niobate waveguides on a silicon chip.
