Polarization Dependence of the Speed of Vortex Light in Optical Fiber

Abstract

The mode-group delay in graded-index fiber due to spin-orbit interaction is demonstrated. It is shown that the delay time between vortex Laguerre-Gauss modes with different circular polarizations of the order of 1ns/km can be observed.
