Abstract
Thermally-induced precipitation of Au plasmonic nanoparticles in phosphate glasses quench Er3+ and Eu3+ ions luminescence intensity. The formation of pre-plasmonic Au nanoparticles leads to the increase of luminescence intensity through the energy transfer process.
