Efficient Light Trapping in the Mid-infrared Using Gold-black phosphorus Nanostructured Absorbers

Abstract

We propose a gold nanostructured design for achieving enhanced absorption in black phosphorus (BP) thin films in the mid-infrared. By suitable design optimization, we are able to achieve enhancement greater than the conventional 4n2 limit.
