Snap-shot fringe pattern enhancement using period-guided bidimensional empirical mode decomposition

Abstract

We present an automatic, robust and effective algorithm, named period-guided bidimensional empirical mode decomposition, for fringe pattern enhancement. It solves the mode mixing problem and extracts complete fringe term in a single (first) decomposition component.
