Resolution Enhancement in Multi-Periodic Pattern Illumination Microscopy

Abstract

Multi-periodic pattern illumination microscopy is presented where illumination contains multiple spatial frequencies. A comparative study shows multi-periodic pattern delivers 4-fold resolution enhancement whereas sinusoidal pattern delivers 2-fold.
