Inverse Design Photon Extractors for Optically Addressable Defect Qubits

Abstract

Photon collection presents a major challenge for optically addressable defects in high index materials like diamond. We demonstrate an inverse-design planar dielectric photon extractor operating near the theoretical limit for NV centers in diamond.
