Surface Plasmon Polaritons in Lanthanum Nickelate and Barium Titanate at telecommunication Frequencies

Abstract

Results of 2D FDTD simulation on the Lanthanum Nickelate (LNO) and Barium Titanate (BTO) interface support surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) at telecommunication wavelengths. As BTO has a memory effect, a nonvolatile compact LNO/BTO SPP switch can be implemented.
