Low-power Bandwidth Enhancement of Brillouin Microwave Photonic Filters using RF Interferometry

Abstract

We report stimulated Brillouin scattering-based microwave photonic bandpass filters employing RF interference with selectivity >20 dB using only 8 dB SBS gain, with bandwidth reconfigurability up to 700 MHz and frequency tunability up to 22GHz.
