On-Chip Poor Man’s Isolator

Abstract

Using inverse design strategies to realize a polarization splitting grating coupler with 58% efficiency, we demonstrate an integrated poor man’s isolator that exhibits 2.4 dB insertion loss and 17.7 dB of back reflection suppression.
