Polymer-Enhanced Packaged Whispering-Gallery Mode Microtoroid Sensors

Abstract

We developed two kinds of polymer-enhanced packaged WGM sensors based on polymer-coated silica resonators and fully polymeric resonators, respectively. Magnetic force sensing shows the polymer can help boost sensitivity significantly.
