Piezoelectrically enhanced stimulated Brillouin scattering in LiNbO3 thin films

Abstract

We show that the stimulated Brillouin scattering is radically enhanced in LiNbO3 thin films due to piezoelectrically induced electro-optic modulation. We find that, in a ridge waveguide, it is maximized for Y-40o reaching 1000W–1m–1.
