Stimulated Brillouin Scattering based Null compensation in a Phase Modulated Link

Abstract

We propose a method for compensating the transmission nulls in a phase-modulated microwave photonic link demodulated with a Mach Zehnder interferometer. Brillouin-enabled null compensation up to 16dB and frequency tunability up to 23GHz is achieved.
