Sensitivity Enhancement of Surface Plasmon Resonance based Sensors using Electromagnetic Theory

Abstract

Sensitivity enhancement of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) based sensors due to improvement in input optical coupling is theoretically investigated from the first principle. Various design parameters are optimized in a typical prism coupling Kretschmann configuration.
