Optical Absorption and Molecular Resonances in Multilayer-Dielectric Dark Matter Detectors

Abstract

We examine the effects of optical absorption on the sensitivity of multilayer-dielectric dark matter detectors called haloscopes by calculating their boost factors. We focus on absorption due to resonances with molecular transitions.
