Generating a tunable multimode optical source from the use of two single-mode sources

Abstract

A multimode optical spectrum is generated from the use of two Distributed-Feedback (DFB) lasers. The four-wave mixing phenomenon is used. Multimode spectrum is tuned by variating the wavelength of one of the DFBs.
