Effect of Noises on Dynamics of Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Lasers Subject to Polarized Optical Injection

Abstract

Numerical study shows that phase fluctuation in the injected beam can promote polarization switching and enhance period-one dynamics in a vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser. The noise from spontaneous emission in the laser is studied as well.
