Multiple optical Tamm modes in one-dimensional chirped photonic crystal

Abstract

We proposed an approach to obtain multiple and tunable Tamm modes in an one-dimensional metallo-dielectric geometry whose design facilitates a monotonic variation in phase-mismatch between the forward and backward propagating modes along the longitudinal direction and consequently, allows adiabatic intermodal energy transfer.
