Q-factor enhancement of Resonances in terahertz metamaterial cavities

Abstract

We have demonstrated the hybrid resonant cavity consisting of a split ring resonator placed in the vicinity of a dipole cavity resulting in a new resonance mode as well as an enhanced q-factor of the existing resonance mode.
