Optical Local Search for Opto-Electronic Online Training of Classification Systems

Abstract

Here we introduce a novel optical local search algorithm and demonstrate its performance for opto-electronic accelerators. Exemplary, we perform an on-line machine learning optimization on an optical convolution layer thereby improving performance.
