A spherical mirror Fabry-Perot Interferometer stabilized via feedback from Newton's rings interference fringes

Abstract

A grating spectrometer is inadequate to perform spectroscopic measurements on emission from a quantum dot. We actively stabilized a Fabry-Perot interferometer using feedback derived from the Newton's rings pattern produced by a single-frequency reference laser.
