Expansion of Transmission Bandwidth Over 16 THz in S+C+L+U Bands by Combining C-band Transceiver with PPLN-Based Wavelength Converters

Abstract

We demonstrate the expansion of 16-THz WDM signal, which includes S-, C-, L-, and U-bands, from C-band channels using PPLN-based wavelength converters. The signal is transmitted to an 80-km fiber and demodulated successfully.
