Fast Demodulation of Temperature and Strain from Sparse FBG Spectra with Machine Learning

Abstract

We demonstrate that a coarse single-FBG spectrum contains sufficient information for simultaneous measurement of temperature and strain based on machine learning analysis, with accuracies reaching 1.14% full scale at an acquisition rate of 5 kHz.
