Abstract

Plastic overuse has resulted in severe environmental issues. Bioplastics, derived from biological sources like starch offer a potential solution to this problem. However, starch-based bioplastics show high susceptibility to moisture absorption, leading to poor mechanical strength. This study involves the use of activated carbon as reinforcement to improve the functional properties of starch bioplastics.
