Abstract
We present an analysis of optically-detected magnetic resonance read-out in nitrogen vacancies where monitoring laser-intracavity singlet-state absorption improves magnetic-field sensitivity, reduces the diamond volume requirements, and circumvents contrast challenges compared to traditional techniques.
