Calculating the Speed of Light Based on the Properties of the Quantum Vacuum

Not Accessible

Your library or personal account may give you access

Abstract

Maxwell’s equations perfectly describe the spatio-temporal structure of the electromagnetic field also in vacuum. Modelling the virtual elementary particle – antiparticle pairs in the vacuum as quantum harmonic oscillators reproduces the speed of light exactly.
