Suppression of structural birefringence of plasmonic antennas by epsilon-near-zero layers

Abstract

We demonstrate that we can significantly suppress the structural birefringence of an asymmetric plasmonic antenna array through the addition of a thin epsilon-near-zero layer. We report a birefringence suppression factor as large as 5.2.
