Optical design of freeform mirror systems with tailored field curvatures for corneal imaging

Abstract

The field curvature of imaging systems with positive power is typically negative. We analyze the Petzval field curvature dependence on structural parameters in two- and three-mirror systems to design curvature-matched corneal objectives with freeform surfaces.
