Abstract

Rays in gradient-index (GRIN) optical systems have to be traced by solving the ray equation numerically. We have earlier reported /1-4/ a very fast numerical method based on a new form of the ray equation which is solved by a numerical technique, e .g., the Runge-Kutta method.
