Investigation of Contrast of Astra-Gemini Laser

Abstract

We report an investigation of the temporal contrast of the Astra-Gemini high power Ti:Sapphire laser. Enhanced contrast of the laser pulse by nearly an order of magnitude has been achieved by upgrading the commercial front-end to provide cleaner seed pulses.
