Science on the Texas Petawatt Laser and Technology Development Toward an Exawatt Laser

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

I will review recent experiments on the 150 fs, 180 J Texas Petawatt laser including cluster fusion, wakefield acceleration and proton-heated, warm dense matter experiments. I will also discuss recent technology work toward an exawatt laser.
