Quantum control of photodissociation using shaped ultrafast pulses

Abstract

We demonstrate the ability to control dissociation rates of H2+ molecules from targeted vibrational levels using strong (4 × 1013 W/cm2) laser fields and simple analytically designed ultrafast pulse shapes.
