Structure Changes of Ferromagnetic/Ferroelectric Oxide Nanolayers by Ultrafast X-ray Diffraction at Laser-based and Synchrotron-based Sources

Abstract

We present ultrafast x-ray diffraction experiments on oxide nanostructures consisting of ferromagnetic and ferroelectric layers. We discuss how the strain couples to heat in electrons, phonons and magnons.
