Single-shot visualization of evolving light-speed plasma structures by multi-object-plane phase-contrast imaging

Abstract

We demonstrate single-shot visualization of evolving, laser-driven structures in tenuous plasma over meter-scale paths. An ultrashort probe crossing the object’s path is phase-modulated, then relay-imaged from multiple object planes to separate detectors.
