Characterizing Laser Plasma Electron Accelerators with Betatron Radiation

Abstract

We investigate the properties of a laser-plasma based electron accelerator as a bright source of x-ray radiation and combine the x-ray and electron data which were measured simultaneously and demonstrates the use of the betatron radiation as a diagnostic tool for the injection and acceleration mechanism.
