Fingerprint of Self-Compression in the High Harmonic Spectrum from a Filament

Abstract

We demonstrate, both theoretically and experimentally, that filamentary self-compression leads to a characteristic fingerprint in z-resolved high harmonic spectra due to spectral splitting and interference of overlapping harmonics.
