Progress in Infrared Cloud Phase Determination Using AIRS

Abstract

Recent progress in the determination of cloud phase using infrared AIRS hyperspectral observations is presented. CALIPSO lidar products are used to create a database of manually classified AIRS pixels for algorithm development.
