Abstract

Excitation transport and excited state dynamics are investigated in ordered and disordered systems using picosecond nonlinear techniques and detailed statistical mechanical treatments. Transient holographic grating measurements on anthracene single crystals provide the first direct measurements of singlet exciton transport (1). The initial results measure the rate of transport and suggest transport is quasicoherent.
