Quantum communication with photon number resolved detection and waveguided parametric downconversion

Abstract

We investigate the photon number statistics of a wave-guided parametric down-conversion source with a fiber based, time multiplexed detector. Our setup is particularly suited for a quantum key distribution scheme with passive decoy state preparation.
