Quantum Optical Control and Measurement in Optomechanics

Abstract

We present schemes that create entanglement between photons and phonons in an optomechanical system. One scheme enables single photon control and novel optomechanical nonlinearities. Another scheme enables quantum-limited readout of phonon jumps.
