Abstract

A simple thin film detector for integrated optical systems is described. This device has been fabricated by thin film techniques and it can be built on any dielectric substrate, either prior to formation of the optical wavaguide or deposited on waveguides grown by different techniques (ion exchange, LPE, MBE, etc.)
