Abstract
This paper concerns a new optical logic device. This new device is a conventional coherent coupler driven with high enough input intensity so that effects nonlinear in the applied field become important. We deal with a third order nonlinearity assuming that either: the second order nonlinearity vanishes (by symmetry) or that the second order nonlinearity is phase mismatched.
