Noise and Dynamic Aspects of Semiconductor Lasers

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Recent experimental progress in the field of semiconductor-laser noise and spectra are summarized and the dynamic extension of the conventional (Schawlow-Townes) noise theory and conventional (Lamb) laser theory, which are needed to account for the new observations are described.
