Abstract
Polarizers are important devices for integrated optic applications. Several solutions have been already proposed and experimentally verified with different types of waveguides. In general they can be separated into two classes:
The polarizers based on a differential attenuation for TE and TM and the polarizers working on a principle similar to anisotropic devices in classical optics.
